Elaine Kennedy was born at the side of the Sydney Harbour Bridge which fact probably
matches the cockney boast of being born within hearing of the Bow bells, but
she has spent much of her life living and working in other countries. After
years of teaching music and/or English in Australian schools she lived as an
ex-pat in Japan, Korea, China and the UK. Now back within reach of her
birth-place she is writing about her overseas experiences starting with
‘Waiting for a wide Horse Sky’ a non-fiction account of her involvement with
trying to find justice for exploited migrant workers in South Korea. It is
being published by Transit Lounge Publishing and released on September 1
