A migrant worker from West Java was beheaded in Saudi Arabia last Saturday, just days after the Indonesian president spoke to the International Labour Organisation (ILO) about his administration’s commitment to providing protection for Indonesian migrant workers.
When the president was told about this illegal action he claimed not to have known about it. Why not? There had been considerable time to find out prior to the execution.

Now another execution is planned by the Saudis; this time a teenage Sri Lankan maid who was left in charge of a baby who choked to death in spite of the girl’s efforts to save him. She was only 17 at the time of the incident. She faces a medieval-style execution but was forbidden to show her birth certificate at her trial . According to Amnesty International who have deplored the execution, this which will be in breach of the United Nations Convention of the Right of the child which has been ratified. The girl had no legal representation before or during the trial.
As a result of these atrocities the Indonesian government is considering banning Indonesian women from taking up work in Saudi Arabia.

It is time there was an international organisation set up for the protection of foreign workers, especially those from third world countries, who work for low wages and are not being backed up by their home countries.

Saudi ‘B’Arbarian beheaded 10 people in the name of Islam. Often foreign migrant workers are common victims of this ‘holy’ practice. All of these victims were migrant workers. I dare to say : “Spit on your Saudi Ugly face, Barbarians !! “
